1. Mobycon 'Carfree Communities' project

Carfree UK is involved in an international project on 'Carfree communities'. (Project coordinator is the Dutch group Mobycon.) Randy has been talking with Steve Ward about getting WCN involved. Basically our sense is that this is a great opportunity to take advantage of the knowledge and experience of the network's members. The project involves the creation of a 'knowledge base' on the concept of carfree communities and establish a network of planners, politiicans, architects, developers and broad public.

1. YEE conference

Youth and Environment Europe is holding a conference (called 'Eurotope') in Prague on August 8-10. There will be workshops and an information exchange fair. This would be a good opportunity to promote WCN and Carbusters magazine. Steve has contacted them for more information.

• Arie will NOT be taking her two week vacation in July, but probably in late August.
• Steve's new holiday plans: August 25-Sept 10. Wants week off before his wedding (Aug.14-18) - depends on how much work is done before then.
• Steve will not be here on Friday, July 28.
• Kamila will take next Monday off.
