1. Youth Exchanges

• Kamila will take all or part of tomorrow off
• Steven will leave early tomorrow (approx. 2)
• Randy has a new laptop and will go back to regular schedule
• Christi is leaving early today
• Anna's last day is Friday, and her party is tonight
• Christi will take holidays April 5th and 6th and will change her hours to 9-5 on April 2nd-4th
• Christi needs DG Environment forms and comments by 23 February at the end of the day
• Randy has conference Web pages ready and is finishing draft programme
• Decision about 2008 will be made by 28 February
• Randy is getting his UK visa stuff completed. He should be going to UK in early April to live in the UK. Randy will be working FT from the UK until June, and further decisions will be made pending grant funding from Mobycon, DG Environment, etc. He may only work half-time on Autoholics after June, when Justin will probably come.
• Randy is making a volunteer task list. Everyone should send him anything that should be included by 28 February.

1. Youth Exchanges: My Bicycle, My City: We need a person under the age of 25 for the April 27-May 6th exchange. Bas is more interested in the later youth exchange and should go then to help with the conference. We will try to get an exception for Roland to go to the exchange. We will also ask Kuba from Automat. Kamila will check on Marialena's (potential EVS from Greece) age to see if she will be able to go.

Conference-related exchange: Kamila is listed as the group leader but will go as a participant instead. Randy will become the group leader for the conference-related exchange. This will save on staff travel costs to the conference.

Announcements

• Steven and Bas will take holidays tomorrow
• E-TREAM use of our logo
• The letter to Mark Brown is finished and in the mail
• The DG environment grant is almost finished
• Randy will not work on Friday and Monday because he worked overtime the past week;
• There was a steering committee meeting last night via Skype; and there will be one every two weeks; the main result is that each of the SC members will give points to the two proposals for the 2008 TCFC proposal
• Randy put up a website for the September youth exchange and it is registered with the "All Different, All Equal" programme of the council of europe
• It is likely that we will have EVS money for Bas at the beginning of next week

AGENDA

1. Fundraising - 10 ways to help WCN Christi: it was in World Carfree News, but there is also a link on the website, we should put something on the homepage of the website. Are there other possibilities?

Steven: Send out a call to former North American subscribers to become members of World Carfree Network, offering them the Cutting Your Car Use book along with a subscription; to former UK subscribers we can also send a call out for Autoholics Anonymous

We could have a presentation for the International School.

Randy: It could be based on the charter, with pictures, facts and figures and some videos

Steven: It could be a minor Visegrad Project; I will talk to Daniel about it

2. Getting media attention Christi: We should be quoted in the Guardian hopefully; in getting media attention you need to get to the right reporters; if we see carfree articles we should keep in mind who the reporter and publication are, and then we can target them directly

3. Magazine Text deadline: February 15

Christi: She finished the studies, but if anybody comes across any new studies than they should be sent to him

Bas: Nobody is doing car cult review right now, so we need somebody to be working on it

Randy: I will look for some car cult review stuff. Resources will be similar to last time, Randy would like to get Chris Balish's book in the Resource Centre, but we do not have much money for this.
