World Carfree Network Europe o.s. (WCN Europe) was created on October 2, 2006 when the Czech authorities approved the name change and statutes change from its predecessor, World Carfree Network - Czech Republic. The reason for the change was to reflect WCN Europe's international European structure. WCN Europe functions as a network with member organisations and individual members across Europe.
